6.7インチの廉価モデルの名称がiPhone14 Plusと記載されていることに関し、iPhone XSシリーズ発表時に、旧Plusモデル（5.5インチ）よりもディスプレイサイズが大きなモデルはMaxと説明されていた」との意見が寄せられています。

廉価モデルにおいてディスプレイが大きい方のモデル名はPlusになるとの噂はこれまでに何度も伝えられており、iPhone12シリーズの時にもありました。
